03. Sketch Design A feasibility study allows an understanding of the clients concerns and aspirations. From this study a number of options will be developed for your consideration and approval before proceeding further.
We will usually enter into pre-planning discussion with your local Planning Officer and talk to consultants to get the best and most appropriate advice for your project.
CDM:
If the project is likely to last more than 30 days, or if the project is for a building that the client will NOT live in after completion, or if there is significant demolition work involved, it will be necessary to appoint a Construction (Design Management) Coordinator.
The co-ordinators role is to support and educate the client. At this early stage it is necessary to notify the Health & Safety Executive of the project. It is also necessary for the Coordinator to inform the employer of his / her Client responsibilities and duties under the CDM Regulations (revised 2007), and to ensure that we as designers undertake our duties.
